Strange coincidence. Or maybe not? All I can guess is strange coincidence.
Hotel for the convention I’m going to tomorrow calls me on my cell phone yesterday. I didn’t answer since I didn’t recognize the number, but googled it afterwards to see who it was. No voicemail left.
That wouldn’t be all that unusual except I don’t have a room for this con (it’s close enough we just drive over), and I also haven’t even registered. I’ve only stayed at that hotel once – as the guest of a different con nearly 3 years ago. Also strange is that we generally don’t use my number since I’m bad about hearing OR answering my phone (and won’t answer it if I don’t recognize number) – we use Chase’s number usually.
Chase even called back because we were so curious – but they said they had no way of knowing why they called if there was no message left.
So either it was a strange coincidence and the hotel called the wrong number… or at some point I did give somebody my phone number? I have no idea. Weirdness.
